July 31st – August 6th

The Valley Nerd Watch!

Good to see you again! We hope your week was wonderful. We had a great chance to hang out at the incredible Wednesday Games Night at the Brass Cat this past Wednesday, and we highly recommend you check it out!

We got to play a little “trick-taking” card game called Spires with some very friendly folks and it was good and makes us kind of understand what the heck our parents and grandparents were doing with Bridge, sort of. It’s a card game about bidding to get the cards you want but also about trying to force your opponents to take your trash cards by tricking them into bidding against you!

Very fun, we lost by an astonishing amount as a sort of ploy to trick everyone into thinking we’re terrible at card games so that when we finally figure out how to play them well we’ll astound people. We’re playing the long game!

We also got some amazing comic books at the Sidewalk Sale this week thanks to Modern Myths being out there with some great reads! We may have fallen off on our monthly collecting but they’ve got a bunch of weird one-shot things that are super neat.

Continue being lovely, all of you!

Go check out the Valley Creators page! As always, be sure to check out our Patreon and the Weekly Events page! There are a lot of fun things happening this and every week! And don’t forget to check out the updated Book Clubs List!
