Covid-19 is here to stay for a long while in the US thanks to the official federal policy of “this is hard and we give up”! It’s awful and we all need to do what we can to mitigate the danger to ourselves and our neighbors.

Please remain the exact same amount of cautious, because there’s still a pandemic raging. Don’t do things that aren’t necessary. Don’t go out to a crowded bar or restaurant. Keep your excursions to the necessary stuff like picking up food. If you can work from home, keep working from home. Wear a mask whenever you’re going out. We understand that a lot of people don’t have a choice about how exposed they are. People need to work to survive. It’s because of that if you DO have the option, you need to do your part to reduce risks as much as possible.

Another week, another week as they say. Hope you’re all staying safe and relatively even-keeled. Be kind to other folks, everyone’s under a ton of stress basically all the time. They were before too, but it’s really heightened now. Also if you’re getting delivery make sure to tip like 50% minimum. They’re bringing you food during a pandemic, they deserve to get a lot of money.

Head over to OEB Science Cafe this week [Thursday the 13th from 6PM – 7PM at the Nacul Center, 592 Main St., Amherst MA] to find out about Fire! Fire, our dearest friend, or most cunning foe. Fire, warm which is nice but also VERY warm which is bad! This is mostly about specifically how it relates to wider ecosystems and what it can do for good or ill. Also this is just a great line “Join Dr Emily Fusco and George LoCascio as we discuss the past, present, and future of fire.” It sounds like a class at a wizard academy. Also free food is there!
